July 23rd, the JP2 Friendship
Center in Manhattan went on a trip to the Highline.
The weather was perfect for exploring the park's current installations and 1,000 species
of trees and plants. The High Line is a trail built on a former railway line. T
he High Line opened in 2009 on a disused railway line in West Manhattan.
According to city statistics, this trail is one of the most popular walking paths in the US.
The route is approximately 2 miles long and can be started from the Whitney Museum to Hudson Yards.
The views are truly spectacular. The High Line is a public park. During the trip,
seniors admired works such as "Pink Fountain," "Day and Night Mural," "Stories of Chinese Fairy Tales,"
"Vessel," as well as sculptures by artists from Germany, Japan, and Scandinavia.
They also had the opportunity to relax and take photos against the backdrop of the Hudson River
and 7th Avenue panorama.
We are sharing photos from the trip.
