Parish picnic held on Sunday, September 14th, at St. Stanislaus Kostka in Brooklyn

The Polish & Slavic Center actively participated in the annual parish picnic held on Sunday, September
14th, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Brooklyn. Blessed with beautiful, sunny weather, the event drew
large crowds of parishioners and local community members.
The Center’s booth attracted significant interest. Visitors eagerly enjoyed sweet pastries while engaging in
conversations about the wide range of programs and services offered by the organization. Among the
various areas of support—including social assistance and legal counseling—particular attention was given
to the Senior Clubs, which for years have attracted older members of the Polish-American community and
local residents alike, especially those who appreciate a warm, welcoming atmosphere and traditional
Polish cuisine.
The Center’s rich cultural programming also garnered much interest. It includes events for all age groups
—from workshops and performances for children to classical music concerts, art exhibits, lectures, and
themed community gatherings.
Participation in the picnic provided a wonderful opportunity for direct interaction with the local
community and an invitation for new individuals to get involved in the life of the Polish & Slavic Center.
The event once again demonstrated the vital role the organization plays in supporting and uniting the
Polish-American community in New York.
