On February 17, 2026, after a shared lunch, a group of seniors from the John Paul II Senior Club went to Roosevelt Park in the East Village to take part in the Chinese New Year celebrations and welcome the Year of the Horse. It was a wonderful opportunity for integration, learning about the traditions of another culture, and spending time together in a joyful atmosphere.
Several attractions awaited the participants. The New Year’s market was especially popular, where visitors could admire handicrafts and decorations, as well as taste traditional Asian cuisine. The seniors watched the artistic performances with great interest and took commemorative photos to capture these special moments.
The group outing was not only a chance to celebrate, but also to strengthen bonds and actively participate in the cultural life of the city. The atmosphere was filled with joy, and the smiles on the participants’ faces best reflected what a successful day it was.
